Born in Parma, Italy, Peter Gandolfi initially studied Chemistry in Rome, going on to lecture and serve as a research fellow in both Italy and Israel. Eventually, he settled in Jerusalem, where he began to focus on art. By 1986, he was a full-time artist, creating pieces that were often idyllic and playful in style. His work often features Jewish scenes, bubbles, vivid colors, and astonishing detail. His one-man shows have appeared in Jerusalem, Rome, Tel-Aviv, Haifa, and Florence, while his book covers books and illustrations have been published internationally.
